<description><![CDATA[Leonardo da Vinci, the movie. El Ranchito’s production The Genius’s Look for the exhibition Da Vinci. The Genius, designed and produced by Empty, has been awarded first prize for Short Film Audiovisual at the International Audiovisual Festival on Museums and Heritage, FIAMP, held in Montreal from December 9th to 12th 2012. This was the only Spanish 
production among 16 finalists in this category.

The exhibition that took place at the Madrid Centro de Exposiciones Arte Canal between December 2011 and May 2012 attracted more than 270,000 people. The visitors were lead through life and production of the Italian artist under three points of view: Leonardo’s more intimate side, the work of his Italian and Spanish disciples, and his machine inventions.

<description><![CDATA[The Madinat al-Zahra Museum has been appointed Best Museum of the Year 2012 by the European Museum Forum, EMF, of the Council of Europe. This year, a total of 46 museums were applying for the prize; 4 of them were Spanish.

The jury, composed by museum specialists, based their evaluation on the “innovative approaches” of the projects, as well as on their ability to create “connections within the communities in order to democratize access to culture”.

In the case of the Madinat al-Zahra Museum, its “high-quality excellence in all aspects” has been highlighted at the same time as its mission to document, together with the archaeological site, themagnificent palace city, its buildings and gardens as well as the structure, social organization and daily life of its inhabitants. By presenting such asignificant part of the memory of Andalusia’s plural history, the institution create links between different cultures in contemporary Europe.

The Museum of Madinat al-Zahra was designed by the architecture studio of Fuensanta Nieto and Enrique Sobejano. Together with Juan Pablo Rodríguez Frade, the architects were also responsible for the interior and the exhibition design produced by Empty.

Empty has concluded the construction work for the Spanish brand’s new headquarters in London.
The design by Zaha Hadid, which is characterised by the organic vitality of its shapes, is based on the concept of water in motion, as an expression of ROCA’s commitment to change and innovation.

<title><![CDATA[Madinat al-Zahra Museum, Aga Khan Award for Architecture 2010]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[The Madinat al-Zahra Museum has been honoured with one of the Aga Khan 2010 Awards for Architecture. The jury described the project as a celebration of the link between museology and archaeology, and highlighted the way the building blends delicately into the landscape surrounding the archaeological site. The museum project is by one of the architects who designed the building, in conjunction with Juan Pablo Rodriguez Frade. It was developed and implemented by <strong>Empty</strong>.

<title><![CDATA[National Museum of Archaeology, Madrid]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[The National Museum of Archaeology is currently immersed in the complete renovation of both its historic home and its exhibition programme. The architect who is remodelling the building, Juan Pablo Rodríguez Frade, also authored the installation project that won the Ministry of Culture competition to design the permanent exhibition. The exhibition project was presented by the temporary consortium <strong>Acciona-Empty.MAN</strong>.
